Microfiber gives Evolon wipes the characteristics of lint-free, strong, strong mechanical stability and balanced vertical and horizontal strength, which improves the durability and stability of disposable and semi-disposable dry and wet thin wipes. Since the fineness of a single fiber is only about 1/10 of ordinary microfibers, wipes produced with Evolon technology have excellent traceless cleaning performance and can absorb 4 times more water and 8 times more oil than their own weight. . Evolon microfiber is 100 times thinner than human hair, giving products superior performance
Since the weight can be as low as 30 g/m2, the weight of Evolon microfiber wipes can be 1.5 to 2 times lighter than ordinary products for the same area. In addition, its product designs and patterns are more flexible, including flat, mesh or new 3D structures, to meet the different needs of customers. “Patterns were originally a more stringent requirement in the consumer market, but now the industrial market is increasingly requiring us to provide products with excellent cleaning performance and unique appearance. Evolon Product Division meets this demand.” Evolon Business Unit Manager Jean -Mr. François Kerhault said. In view of this, Evolon’s novel 3D patterned products were shortlisted for the finals of the roll product category at this year’s International Nonwovens Exhibition (IDEA 2016).
Many customers provide directional thin wipers by pre-impregnating Evolon substrates to meet the needs of increasingly segmented industrial markets. Due to the special structure of the microfibers, the impregnation remains stable throughout the product’s life cycle, ensuring unchanged liquid release properties. The composition of Evolon microfiber textiles makes them suitable for use with a wide range of pre-soaked cleaners, solvents and IPAs. “Unlike some other similar materials, Evolon is also resistant to peroxide-based disinfectants. This is a very important advantage for our customers and can expand the range of cleaning agents they can use,” added Mr. Kerhault.
Evolon’s lightweight substrate can be easily converted into a variety of product formats such as flat, point-and-shoot roll, pull-out and foldable. The weight range of its wipers is between 30 and 240 g/m2, and it has passed the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class I product certification. In addition, Freudenberg’s Evolon product production plant has also passed ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 50001 certification.
