Waterproof finishing included
1) Waterproof finishing: Coating the fabric so that neither water nor air can pass through;
2) Water-repellent finishing: Change the hydrophilicity of the fiber surface to hydrophobicity, making the fabric breathable and not easily wetted by water.
Textiles with waterproof finishing can resist rain and oil stains, and can discharge sweat and perspiration from the human body in time, thereby keeping the human body dry and warm. Table cloths and car protective covers used in decoration and industrial fields are also very popular. .
The waterproofing effect of textile fabrics is generally tested by the static waterproof test method and the shower anti-contamination test method.
The static waterproof test method is relatively simple. There is a common method internationally and is generally recognized by customers. Take a piece of fabric that has been treated, lay it flat on a horizontal surface, and drop water on the fabric. If it has not penetrated the other side of the fabric after 6 hours, it is considered qualified.
The shower anti-stain test method is applicable to fabrics of any organization, with or without water-repellent finishing. This method is suitable for measuring the water permeability of fabrics. The test results are mainly related to the fibers, yarns and finishing in the fabric, and It has little to do with the structure of the fabric.
Instrument requirements: spray test instrument, measuring cylinder
Reagents and consumables: pure water
Method:
1. Test sample preparation: Prepare at least three 7×7 inch samples. Before testing, the samples need to be equilibrated for 4 hours at a relative humidity of 65±2% and a temperature of 21±1℃;
2. Test steps
3. Fix the sample in the test ring and fix it on the 45-degree angle test stand
4. Use a measuring cylinder to measure 250ml of pure water and add it to the funnel
5. Wait for the water to leak completely, tap the test ring once, turn it 180 degrees and tap again
7. Rating according to the standard chart
Recommended dosage for process: 10-40g/L
One dip and one rolling—-shaping and baking (150-170℃)
At present, the fluorocarbon type is more widely used, but with theAs our requirements for environmental protection continue to increase, the application of fluorocarbon agents has been restricted. The European Union has issued relevant restriction directives, and the development of alternatives has become a trend. One is to use C6 or C4 to replace C8, and the other is not at all. Fluorine-containing and fluorine-free. Today, as the ecological concept becomes increasingly popular, many manufacturers have invested in this research hotspot in response to the needs of consumers and environmental protection. I believe that research in this area will be more mature and complete in the future.
