Garment dyeing:

It is to dye the original white garments with color. The basic methods of dyeing, such as the classic dip dyeing method (Dip Dyeing), are used in industrial garment dyeing. Garment dyeing methods focus on two main methods, namely, the use of direct dyes and reactive dyes. The latter has significantly higher color fixation than the former, as well as fastness to washing and sunlight. The following issues should be paid attention to when dyeing garments:

A. Sew thread selection

The sewing structure and stitch types of garments that are dyed after sewing is the same as those in other production situations. When receiving 100% cotton shirt material, cotton sewing thread must be used. There are many types of white threads on the market. It is more appropriate to choose original white threads. However, if you want to make the bones appear brighter or whiter, you must use polyester threads and sew pure cotton threads on polyester/cotton fabrics after dyeing. , the bone opening is dark, and if pure polyester (Dacron) sewing thread is used, it will naturally appear white.

B. How to deal with collars and cuffs

Collars and cuffs that lack “inner life” cannot maintain their shape stably. Collars and cuffs that are not sticky during garment dyeing will not be able to maintain their shape on the face. Show small bubbles or deformation. However, the collar and cuffs pasted with vertical grains of polyester still maintain their correct shape. This is mainly due to the strong mechanical, chemical and thermal effects on garment dyeing. Therefore, the white polyester is suitable for garment dyeing. When the polyester has no fluorescence, it is suitable for garment dyeing. Dyes are more affinity-producing and more absorbent.

C. button, Zippers (zips) and other accessories

When dyeing, they must have affinity with the dye. If the selected accessories need to be the same color as the clothes, their materials and properties should be the same as the clothes. If it is some light clothing materials, in order to prevent hard objects such as zippers and buttons from being damaged, these accessories can be dyed separately and then sewn on. However, it should be noted that when dyeing separately, The tone of the dye must be the same as that used when dyeing the garment in order to achieve the same tone. White polyester buttons will remain white even after dyeing. If you sew the buttons first and then dye them, remember that these buttons must be made of polyester. Otherwise, the stitching in the center of the button will change to the corresponding garment-dyed tone.

D. Label, mark

It must be made of polyester, which can mainly protect the original color to maintain its advertising image and information. For example, the label is made of cellulose (Cellulose), the color will change after dyeing. Especially when the garments are dyed in dark colors, the label content will be difficult to read.
