Abstract:
Using flame retardant TF-612, water retardant TG-580 and softener TF-438, the polyester fabric is used to perform the following: Flame retardant, waterproof and soft finishing. The performance indicators of step-by-step method and one-bath method are compared. Polyester fabric flame retardant, waterproof and soft one-bath method finishing technology is preferred: TF-612 200g/L, TG-580 4g/L ,TF-438 10g/L, bake at 170℃ for 2 minutes. The flame retardant performance of the fabric after finishing can reach the B1 standard in GB.

Fires caused by textiles have shown an upward trend in recent years, including bedding, Decorative fabrics and clothing fabrics are the main reasons for fire [1]. Therefore, domestic and foreign countries attach great importance to the research on flame retardant textiles. Many developed countries such as the United States have special legislation on the application fields of pajamas, bedding, hotels, aviation decoration fabrics, storage tents, etc., which stipulate that they must be used Flame retardant textiles. Foreign flame retardant technology has a long history, and the production and consumption of flame retardants have reached a considerable scale. Flame retardants have become the second largest category of additives after plasticizers. my country’s flame retardant technology and flame retardants have developed relatively slowly. In the mid-1990s, the national flame retardant production was about 1,000 tons, mainly used in plastics, while there were only more than ten products used in textiles, and there were very few of them with production scale. , far from meeting the market demand. To this end, we have developed the flame retardant TF-612 for polyester fabrics and has been put into production. According to market demand, most flame-retardant fabrics need to have waterproof and soft functions at the same time, while the fabric usually feels worse after being flame-retardant. Therefore, the one-bath finishing technology such as flame retardant, waterproofing, and soft are very popular among dyeing and finishing factories. However, according to relevant literature and our extensive test verification, in general, the compatibility of flame retardants and waterproofing agents or softeners is poor, and their performance has a great influence on each other. It is difficult to organize the three-bath method. In view of the above situation, this project strives to screen waterproofing agents and softeners with good compatibility with the flame retardant TF-612, and discusses the process of step-by-step finishing of flame retardant, waterproofing, softness, and one-bath finishing. It is a related printing and dyeing factory. Provide reference process.
1 Test
1.1 Materials and Instruments

1.1.2 Medicines
Flame Retardant TF-612 [Colorless, Weak Cationicity, solid content (30±2)%, pH value 5~7, easy to dissolve in water]; Waterproofing agent TG-580, TG-410H, TG-527A; Softener TF-452, TF-438, TF -437; Penetrant JFC; Modified low formaldehyde melamine resin (all of the above are produced by Zhejiang Chuanhua Co., Ltd.); Magnesium chloride (CP grade, Shanghai Pharmaceutical and Chemical Co., Ltd.).
1.1.3 Instruments and Equipment
YG(B)815D-Ⅰ type (vertical method) fabric flame retardant performance tester, Y(B)813 fabric water dip measurer, DatacolorSpectraflash SF300 computer color matching instrument, Y 571B friction fastness tester, electronic fabric strength machine (YG026B type), electronic balance (accuracy is 0.01g), VPM-1A type rolling truck, PT-2A type hot air tensioning machine.
1.2 Finishing process
Preparing finishing solution → one immersion and rolling (pressure 29.8N/cm2) → baking (170℃×2min) → room temperature equilibrium 24h finishing solution formula is shown in Table 1.
1.3 Fabric performance test
1.3.1 Flame retardant performance test
According to GB/T5455-1997 to ISO6941:1992 (determination of flame spreading performance of textile combustion performance vertical direction specimen) method test. Level B1: The length of damaged charcoal is ≤15cm, the renewal time is ≤5s, the smoldering time is ≤5s; Level B2: The length of damaged charcoal is ≤20cm, the renewal time is ≤10s, the smoldering time is ≤10s.
1.3.2 Waterproof performance test
The waterproofness test is 100 points according to the AATCC-22 standard.
1.3.3 Feeling test
Correspond to the original cloth feel at 5 points, and the feel is 10 points better and 0 points worse. At least 3 people will be subjectively evaluated and scored, and the average value will be taken. The larger the data, the better the feel.
1.3.4 Strength Test
Tested according to GB/T3923.1-1997 (Measurement conditions for break strength and elongation at break in the tensile properties of textile fabrics, Part 1).
1.3.5 Color change test
The fabric before treatment is used as the standard sample and the cloth after treatment is used as the test sample, and the test sample is tested on the DatacolorSpectraflashSF300. ΔL’ means the brightness difference. The larger the value, the greater the difference between the original cloth; Δa’ means the difference between the red and green light, the more positive the red light, the more negative the red light; Δb’ means the difference between the yellow and blue light, the more positive the more negative the Yellow light; ΔE represents the total chromatic difference value. The larger the value, the greater the total chromatic difference with the original cloth.
1.3.6 Dry and wet friction fastness test
Test according to GB/T3920-1997 method.
2 Results and Discussion
2.1 Screening of Water Repellent
In order to make the flame retardant and water repellent more stable when mixing From the principle of ionic compatibility, three waterproofing agents TG-580, TG-410H and TG-527A were preliminarily selected, and the finishing solution was prepared according to the formula in Table 1.
