During the resin post-finishing and other finishing processes, if the rolling residue rate is too high, migration phenomenon will easily occur during pre-baking, and a large amount of surface resin will be produced, which will also increase the burden on the drying equipment. However, the roll residue rate is too low and the roller pressure is too high, which will affect the feel of the fabric. In order to reduce the amount of liquid on the fabric, research on low liquid feed rates is ongoing, which can make the liquid rate on the fabric about 40%. The main methods include foam post-finishing method, engraved roller liquid feeding method, spray liquid feeding method, single-sided liquid feeding roller method and pad suction method, etc., as shown in Figure 9-17. The foam post-finishing method is a good low-liquid-feeding method. Foam finishing is a new dyeing and finishing technology that emerged in the 1970s. It is a low-liquid-feeding technology that uses mechanical action to make finishing agents and additives generate foam and apply them to fabrics to achieve the desired effects. It significantly saves energy and dyes, reduces water consumption, and reduces Eliminate pollution, reduce equipment investment, and improve product quality.
The foam finishing machine mainly includes two major systems: foaming and coating, with necessary automatic control devices. It can be used for resin finishing, softening finishing, sizing finishing, etc.
11 Foaming equipment
As shown in Figure 9-18. Both the gas path and the liquid path can control the flow through electric regulating valves. The flow rate can be obtained from the flow meter to obtain the required gas to liquid ratio.
There are two types of foam generators: dynamic type and static type. The dynamic foam generator relies on the mechanical action of the device in the generator to stir, mix, and shear to form a foam state.
The static foamer relies on the gas and liquid pressed into the generator to automatically mix into foam when encountering resistance.
The foam coating machine is a special equipment that applies foamy finishing agent to the fabric continuously and evenly. There are many forms, which can be summarized into three categories: roller coater, slit pressure coater and blade coater, as shown in Figure 9-19.
