The main drive of the rapier loom – the role of the main drive of the loom and the conditions it should meet
The function of the main drive of the loom is to transmit the power of the motor to the main shaft and its related leisure parts through the transmission mechanism to realize various actions of the loom. The main drive should meet the following conditions:
It starts quickly. During the first beat-up, the weaving The locomotive speed should reach or be close to the normal operating speed.
The braking is smooth and fast, the parking position is precise, it meets the process and operation requirements, and is conducive to restarting the car.
It is easy to operate. It has normal starting and braking functions, and can also realize certain extraordinary operations, such as slow speed, manual forward and reverse weft search, etc.
Compact structure and stable performance.
The starting and braking mechanism of the loom consists of two main components: the main drive and the auxiliary drive. The former drives the loom to run at normal speed, and the latter is driven by a slow-speed motor to perform weft searching and weft alignment during the loom. Cloth fell and some other weaving auxiliary functions come into play.
Generally, the power transmission between the motor and the loom works through a set of electromagnetic clutches and brakes, which can not only ensure the rapid starting and braking of the loom, but also facilitate the operation. Whenever the weft yarn is broken or fails due to a malfunction, it is required to brake the loom quickly near the heald level position to facilitate operation and handle the broken weft; whenever the warp yarn is broken, it is required to brake the loom quickly to make it Stop at the upper center or heddle flat position to facilitate handling of warp breakage; when starting, the loom is required to have reached normal speed when it is turned to the front center for beat-up, to ensure that the weft is actually beaten up and to prevent the occurrence of thin-path weaving defects.
A good transmission system should select a suitable motor to adapt its mechanical properties to the requirements of the loom’s operating characteristics. For the motor used in the loom, in addition to selecting the appropriate rated power, the characteristic parameters such as the maximum torque and large slip of the motor must also be considered. In the direct transmission system, the starting torque of the motor must also be considered. The transmission system of other looms should also meet the load conditions of the loom (light or heavy loom), starting and braking, and special requirements related to operation and manipulation. For example: in order to start quickly, high-speed and heavy-duty looms should consider adopting a clutch start-up structure; the main shaft speed of wide-width looms is low, and a high-speed shaft (intermediate shaft) can be installed; in order to start and brake effectively, some high-speed looms Or in order to reduce the overall dimensions of the clutch and motor and make the structure compact, high-speed shafts are also adopted; dobby and jacquard looms can be equipped with slow-speed reversing devices to facilitate correction of the fabric structure at startup; further progress in this type of devices is the development of Weft finding device: After the weft is stopped, the shedding mechanism and the weft selection mechanism can be reversed appropriately to correct the shed according to the fabric structure. If combined with the automatic adjustment of the take-up and let-off mechanisms, it can also accurately align the cloth fell, making it easier to block the weft. Operations that significantly reduce or eliminate driving on dense roads.
