Beating-up mechanism
The beat-up mechanism of the projectile loom is shown in Figure 4-15. It mainly consists of the beat-up box 1, the conjugate cam 2, the reed base foot 3, the reed base 4, the steel reed 5 and the shuttle guide teeth 6. .
When beating up, the conjugate cam 2 located in the beating box 1 drives the reed base foot 3, the reed base 4, the steel reed 5 and the shuttle guide teeth 6 to beat forward. During weft insertion, the reed holder stays in the rear position, and at the same time, the shuttle guide teeth and the fixed shuttle guide parts of the shuttle pick and pick-up device are aligned. There are 3 to 5 beat-up boxes on the projectile loom. For example, a 190cm effective width loom uses 3 conjugate cam beat-up boxes. The 540cm effective width loom adopts 5 conjugate cam beating boxes. The lower part of the conjugate cam is immersed in the oil bath of the beat-up box. When the cam rotates, the oil is brought along, which can lubricate various transmission parts installed in the beat-up box.
By optimizing the design of the curve of the conjugate cam, the reed beat-up leisure is a symmetrical leisure curve, that is, the forward leisure time and the backward leisure time are equal. The symmetrical rest of the reed seat is shown in Figure 4-16. The reed seat is light in weight and remains stationary at the rear dead center position when the projectile shuttle is flying. The beat-up angle of the reed is tilted 4° towards the warp side to optimize the appearance of the fabric. A wedge-shaped reed clamp is adopted, the 8mm thick reed bar is the standard type, and the 12mm thick reed bar is the double row reed and the steel reed with woven screen mesh.
