Opening mechanism
The warp yarn passes over the rotating weaving drum, and with the help of the shed forming element – the opening piece (Figure 5-6),
the shed is continuously formed on the circumference of the rotating drum. The arc and rotation of the drum make the opening piece move The sheds open one after another in succession. Through the precise traverse of the warp positioning rod, the warp is either held up by the opening piece and becomes the upper warp yarn of the shed, or it is not held up by the lower warp yarn that remains in the shed and forms the lower warp yarn of the shed. Each warp yarn is inserted into the hole of the warp positioning rod, and the warp positioning rod is close to the weaving drum and parallel to its axis, see Figure 5-7. Determine the number of required warp positioning rods based on the warp density. Since the positioning rod is very light and has a very short stroke, it can run at high speed. This gives the M8300 loom the characteristics of high-speed leisure. Since the casual sequence of the warp positioning rod can be manipulated, the M8300 loom can produce a variety of simple standard fabrics. Figure 5-8 shows a simplified side view of the shed.
