Main types, structures and technical requirements of jet reeds
1. Main types (1) Classification according to structural shape: it can be divided into air-jet reed and double-layer air-jet reed. The air-jet reed is bonded with special-shaped reed blades, aluminum reed beams, and resin glue. It is used for various fiber fabrics such as cotton, chemical fiber, and glass fiber. The double-layer reed uses special-shaped reed blades + bent blades arranged at intervals, with aluminum reed beams and resin glue. Bonding, used for wool fabrics and warp fabrics with twisting effect. (2) Classification according to the shape of the reed teeth: curved back type, straight back type, long straight back type, and extraordinary type. (3) Classification according to the shape of the taper mouth: general type, taper mouth type, double taper mouth type. (4) According to the classification of air-jet looms: they can be divided into Tsudakoma type, Toyota type, Picanol type, Dornier type and Shumet type. (5) Classification according to reed type: general type, upper double spring type, lower double spring type. (6) Classified by nozzle: single spray type, double spray type (double spray or above). (7) Classification according to fabric edge: complete edge type, raw edge type. 2. Main structure The main structure of the air-jet reed is shown in Figure 8-1, which consists of the reed blade, aluminum reed beam, semicircle, spring, reed edge and resin glue.
3. Basic dimensions and agreed tolerances of air jet reeds The basic dimensional tolerances are shown in Table 8-1.
4. Types and main dimensions of air-jet reeds (classified by air-jet looms) The correspondence between the model and type of air-jet looms and the main dimensions of air-jet reeds is shown in Table 8-2.
5. Terminology and technical requirements 1. Terminology Reed number: the number of reed teeth within every 10cm of the reed tooth interval. The reed size is expressed by the number of reed teeth per 10cm length, but it is still customary to use the number of reed teeth within 2 inches (50.8mm) and 1 inch (25.4mm). Reed edge width (L1): the distance between the outer sides of the left and right reed edges. Effective reed width (L2): the distance between the outer sides of the reed teeth at both ends. Total reed height (H): the distance between the outer sides of the upper and lower reed beams. Air flow groove height (h 3): the distance from the bottom of the lower reed beam to the upper plane of the air flow groove. Air flow groove depth (t): the distance between the front plane of the lower reed beam and the bottom surface of the air flow groove. Air flow groove angle (α): the angle between the upper plane and the lower plane of the air flow groove. Airflow slot width (K): the width of the bottom surface of the airflow slot. Reed tooth pitch: the sum of the reed tooth thickness and the reed tooth gap. Space ratio: The gap between the two reed teeth as a percentage of the reed tooth pitch. 2. Technical requirements The basic structure, size and limit deviation of the reed should comply with the provisions of Table 7-1. The reed teeth are made of stainless steel. The surface roughness of the reed teeth is Ra0.1~0.2. The surface hardness of reed teeth is: tooth thickness (S)>0.30mm, its surface hardness is ≥400HV; tooth thickness (S)≤0.30mm, its surface hardness is ≥480HV. The reed beam is made of high-strength aluminum alloy profiles, with a tensile strength of ≥177MPa and a surface hardness of ≥60HV0.2. The vertical requirement between the side of the reed teeth and the bottom plane of the lower reed beam is 90°±1°. The vertical requirement between the side of the reed teeth and the front plane of the lower reed beam is 90°±1.5°. The reed teeth, reed beams, semicircles and reed edges are firmly bonded, the glue is fully injected, and the surface is clean and free of glue beads. The reed teeth are arranged neatly and evenly, with no soft teeth or curved teeth. The reed surface is straight and smooth, without defects such as edges, burrs, and rust spots. The relative error of the total number of reed teeth is <0.1%. The flatness of the reed bottom plane is 1mm within any length of 1m. The number of reed teeth in any 10cm length within the effective width of the special-shaped reed should match the steel reed number. The performance of the reed air flow groove should be low air consumption, smooth air flow changes, and ensure smooth weft insertion of the air-jet loom. The airflow parameter (air pressure value) of the air-jet reed is an important technical indicator, and there are two types of air-jet loom manufacturer settings and fabric company settings. Generally, the design is based on the different types and structures of the air-jet reed, the fabric fibers and the reed numbers. Currently, there are 4 commonly used air-jet reed air pressure value units in the world, see Table 8-3. The air pressure value curve is different according to the type of loom, usually there are two types: straight line and curve. At present, there are various models of airflow detectors in domestic manufacturers, and the conditions of use and input air pressure are different, so the detected values are definitely different. 6. Specifications of jet reed special-shaped reed blades (1) Special-shaped reed blades are shown in Figure 8-2: Made of SUS301 stainless steel, hardness value HV500~550, the length of the reed blade is related to the reed height, and the width of the reed blade It is 4mm, and the thickness of the reed blade is related to the reed number. The shape, angle, thickness, smoothness, cleanliness, airflow groove shape and reed material of the reed will have a significant impact on the spinning channel, fabric quality and production efficiency.
(2) Glass fiber reed: Made of SUS420j2 stainless steel, hardness value HV500~550, martensitic structure to increase its wear resistance. (3) Double-layer reed bend: Made of SUS301 stainless steel, mainly used for double-layer air jet reed. 7. Reed size and reed blade thickness. The preferred space ratio is 63% to 68% (short fiber).
