The influence of reed quality on fabric
1. The impact of reed blade quality on fabrics (1) The reed tooth material does not meet the requirements, has low hardness or is not wear-resistant, and the bottom of the airflow groove is worn in a short period of time, forming grooves, which can easily cause yarn breakage and stoppage. (2) Improper selection of reed tooth thickness. If it is too thin or too thick, it will produce a reed path, stripes will appear on the cloth surface, or the warp will be broken. (3) If the airflow value is too small, the weft feeding will not be in place, causing the weft to stop and affecting efficiency. If the airflow value is too low, the weft yarn flight will be biased below the notch. (4) The air flow curve does not meet the requirements, affecting normal startup, and the weft yarn cannot be smoothly introduced into the shed, reducing efficiency. (5) The reed blade should reach the level of finish Ra≤0.1~0.2, and the arc should be particularly smooth to avoid damage to the delicate spinning yarn. 2. The influence of air pressure value on fabrics (1) The air flow is unstable and the fluctuation value is large, causing unstable weft yarn flight, large amount of weft loss or cloth mouth movement, causing fabric quality problems. (2) If the air flow is too large, the yarn will be blown off when encountering weak loops, the core-spun yarn will easily show “white”, and the weft yarn will be easy to fold back or may be blown out of the notch. (3) The rigidity of the reed teeth is not good, which will cause uneven density in the warp direction of the fabric and stripe shadows. (4) The tooth shape and angle do not meet the requirements, which affects the quality of the fabric. In severe cases, weaving defects may occur. 3. Other influencing factors (1) The arrangement of the reed teeth is not parallel, dense and uneven, and it is easy to produce noodle shadows on the cloth. (2) The reed teeth are tilted and tilted severely, which increases the friction when the warp yarns are opened vertically up and down, increases the friction between warp yarns, and reduces the quality of the fabric.
