Tension device
In addition to the tension device at the yarn entry point, the aforementioned weft feeder is also equipped with tension devices at the spinning yarn and drum surface. Commonly used tension devices are shown in Figure 10-4. The tension device at the yarn outlet should select different specifications according to the different twisting fineness of the weft yarn. Fixed drum and moving drum type weft feeders often use rings.
The tension of the tension device at the yarn entry point is too small, which will cause the yarn loop to slide too much on the drum surface. When the yarn loop fills the entire drum surface, it will cause subsequent yarn loops to overlap. If the tension is too high, the sliding resistance of the yarn loops on the drum surface will increase, which will also cause the subsequent yarn loops to be arranged too closely, and sometimes even cause the yarn loops to overlap. The specifications of the tension device should be selected based on factors such as the type of spinning yarn and the configuration position of the tension device (Table 10-1).
Ailuo Company has great research on tension devices and has various types of tension devices to choose from.
