The function of the rapier wheel The rapier wheel is an important part of the rapier loom for weft insertion. There are two identical rapier wheels on a loom, which are installed on the left and right sides of the loom respectively. They are closely related to the rapier loom. Cooperating with the rod belt, it is responsible for reciprocating the weft insertion provided by the host and effectively controlling the rapier belt wrapped (150°) on the rapier wheel teeth. When the rapier belt runs from the rapier wheel teeth and enters the fixed guide rail , the movement of the sword belt is converted from a curved trajectory to a straight line. At this time, the weft delivery and pick-up rapier heads on the left and right sword belts immediately enter the weft handover state to complete the weft insertion task. 2. Conditions that the sword transfer wheel should meet: (1) The surface of the sword wheel (including the tooth shape) should be completely smooth, without waste edges, and burrs, cracks, depressions and bubbles should avoid interference with the sword belt. (2) The work of the rapier wheel should be stable, reliable and sensitive. The tooth radial runout, tooth shape size tolerance, rapier wheel inner diameter tolerance and concentricity must meet the design requirements of the drawing. The rapier wheel clamp must be locked to ensure that the rapier wheel is locked. There will be no loosening or slipping. (3) The sword transfer wheel has good wear resistance and long service life. The selection of its materials, the accuracy of the finishing process, the adjustment of heat treatment, surface treatment process, and the adjustment of the formula proportion of carbon fiber, reinforced nylon, and glass fiber have a great impact on the quality of the sword transfer wheel. Service life is crucial.
