Flame retardant finishing of wool fabric
Wool has a high moisture regain rate and ammonia content, and is naturally fire-resistant. However, when the requirements are higher, fire-proof finishing must be carried out. The earliest fire-proof finishing agent for wool was the borax and boric acid solution impregnation method. The product was used for decorative cloth on aircraft, but it was not resistant to washing. Finally, THPC is used to fix the fire retardant agent on the fiber. The washability is good, but the process is complicated, the hand feels rough, and the style of wool fabric is lost. At present, the fire-proof finishing of wool fabrics generally adopts metal complex fire-proof finishing, which has good fire-proofing effect and does not affect the feel of the fabric. 1. Fire retardant: Fitted WFR-866 series fire retardant developed by Tianjin Institute of Synthetic Materials. One is WFR-866F (with fluorine complex as the main component), and the other is WFR-866B (with bromine-containing hydroxyl group as the main component). 2. Purpose: The pure wool fire-retardant fabrics thus processed are mainly used for carpets, curtains, wall materials in aircraft cabins, high-end hotels, and military uniforms above school officers. 3. Post-finishing method: After the wool fabric is colored and cooled, the fire-proof post-finishing is performed directly in the machine without leaving the machine to simplify the operation and achieve better results.
