Nylon’s scientific name is polyamide fiber, which is the general name for polyamide fibers produced in China. The outstanding advantage is that the wear resistance is higher than that of all other fibers, 10 times higher than cotton and 20 times higher than wool. Adding some cotton fibers to blended chemical fiber fabrics can greatly improve its wear resistance. When stretched to 3-6%, the elastic recovery rate can reach 100%, and it can withstand tens of thousands of bends without breaking. The strength of nylon fiber is high, 1-2 times higher than cotton, 4-5 times higher than wool, and 3 times higher than viscose fiber.
Characteristics of nylon fabric:
1. The wear resistance of nylon fabric ranks first among all types of fabrics, many times higher than other fiber fabrics of similar products. Therefore, its durability is excellent. Clothing made of nylon is durable and not easy to wear.
2. Nylon fabric has excellent elasticity and elastic recovery, but it is easily deformed under small external force. There will be creases after folding, but it can slowly return to its original shape.
3. The hygroscopicity of nylon fabric is better than that of synthetic fiber fabrics, so work clothes made of nylon are more comfortable to wear than polyester work clothes.
4. Nylon has good moth resistance and corrosion resistance, and is relatively simple to preserve.
5. Nylon fabric is a light fabric, second only to polypropylene and polyacrylonitrile fiber fabrics among synthetic fiber fabrics, and is suitable for making work clothes, military training uniforms, etc.
6. The heat resistance and durability of nylon are not good enough, and the ironing temperature should be controlled below 140 degrees. During wearing and use, you must pay attention to the relevant conditions of cleaning and maintenance to avoid damaging the fabric.
7. Nylon has poor ventilation and easily generates static electricity, so it is best not to wear underwear made of nylon to prevent harm to the human body.
