China Special Police War Training Uniform Fabric R&D and Production Regulations
Recently, the Science and Technology Information Technology Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security hosted an acceptance meeting in Beijing for the Ministry of Public Security’s 2010 key research plan project “Research on Fabric Development Technology for Special Police Combat Training Uniforms”. Relevant leaders from the Equipment Finance Bureau and the Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security attended the meeting. The acceptance inspection committee was composed of Dr. Shi Meiwu of the General Logistics Military Equipment Research Institute, Li Lingshen, President of the China Industrial Fabrics Association, and a number of public security equipment technology experts and fabric technology experts. The team agreed that all indicators of the project’s products have reached predetermined technical targets, and the overall level of the project has reached the international advanced level.
The “Special Police Combat Training Uniform Fabric Development Technology Research” project is jointly undertaken by Shaanxi Yuanfeng Fabric Technology Research Co., Ltd. and the Police Equipment Research and Development Demonstration Center of the Equipment and Finance Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security. Based on the needs of the working environment of my country’s special police, this project researched high-tech fiber application technologies such as Nomex, and developed multiple protective functions such as fire resistance and high temperature resistance, high strength and tear resistance, antistatic, oil and water repellency, acid and alkali resistance, moisture absorption and quick drying, etc. In one, the new generation of special combat training uniform series fabrics are suitable for different seasons of spring, autumn, summer and winter, providing efficient and reliable body protection for special police combat training operations in complex and dangerous environments. The project products have been tested and evaluated by authoritative organizations such as the Special Police Equipment Quality Supervision and Inspection Center of the Ministry of Public Security, the National Fabric Products Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, and the National Military Products Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, and their comprehensive technical indicators are higher than similar products at home and abroad.
In order to improve the technical level of special police combat training protection in my country and standardize the research, development and production of fabrics for special police combat training uniforms, the project undertaking unit cited new domestic and foreign personal protection standards and, after rigorous experimental verification, drafted the “Police Materials Special Police Combat Training Uniforms” Fabrics” Ministry of Public Security standards. After the completion of this project, it will gradually replace the polyester-cotton work clothes currently used by my country’s special police, changing the situation in which high-performance special protective combat training uniforms are monopolized by foreign countries and relying on high-priced imports, and effectively promote the modernization of China’s special police protective equipment.
The leaders of the Equipment and Finance Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security spoke highly of the project results. The leaders and experts at the conference unanimously believed that the research results can be used as a new generation of public security special police combat training uniforms. They hope that the project undertaking unit will speed up the industrialization and promotion of the technology. Application, completely apply new results to special police combat training equipment.

In recent years, it has developed eight categories of military and Civilian safety protection workwear fabrics have achieved fruitful scientific research results and market performance.
In 2011, the China Industrial Fabrics Industry Association awarded Shaanxi Yuanfeng Company the “China Safety and Protective Fabrics R&D Base” after an expert group conducted an on-site inspection. The completion of this project fully adopts domestic high-tech fiber raw materials and high-tech fabrics, taking a new step in my country’s independent research and development of high-end police protective fabrics. It is the company’s “China Safety and Protective Fabrics R&D Base”. The important scientific research results achieved since then have a significant role in improving the international competitiveness of my country’s safety protection fabrics.
