The first China Textile Intangible Cultural Heritage Conference is hosted by the China Textile and Apparel Industry Federation and co-organized by the Intangible Cultural Heritage Office of the China Textile and Apparel Industry Federation, Hangzhou Xintiandi Group, and Hangzhou Chun’an County People’s Government. It will include representative inheritors of intangible cultural heritage, craftsmen, and enterprises. Intangible cultural heritage groups and people from all walks of life, including artists, designers, experts and scholars, will gather at Qiandao Lake to jointly explore a new way of intangible cultural heritage inheritance of “culture + industry + Internet” and work together to build a new ecology for the sustainable development of textile intangible cultural heritage.
The location in Chun’an is inseparable from the local beautiful environment. When it comes to the textile industry, silk is one of Zhejiang’s historical and classic cultural industries. More importantly, relying on beautiful mountains and beautiful waters, Chun’an City has made great efforts to build Kangmei Thousand Island Lake in recent years, constantly enriching and improving local tourism products and business formats. Jiangjia Town, where this conference is located, is the sub-center of Qiandao Lake tourism. “In 2016, Jiangjia Town received more than 600,000 tourists, and the total tourism economic revenue exceeded 60 million yuan. It has good development momentum and promising prospects.” Zhang Chuanqiang, deputy magistrate of Chun’an County, said that in recent years, Jiangjia Town has successively built, A number of special projects such as Wenyuan Lion City Scenic Area, Longchuan Bay Scenic Area, Lion City Museum, RV Campground, Anlu Hotel, Wooden House Hotel, and Qiandao Lake B&B on the west slope have been opened. Not long ago, Wenyuan Lion City successfully passed the expert review and was successfully included in the list of national 4A-level scenic spots. This 4A-level scenic spot will also become the permanent location of the China Textile Intangible Cultural Heritage Conference.
According to reports, Wenyuan Lion City, invested and built by Hangzhou Xintiandi Group, is a holiday destination with the theme of the thousand-year-old Xin’an culture of the underwater ancient city, and is also an intangible cultural heritage life experience base. The scenic spot adopts an immersive situational cultural experience method, which not only reflects the Xin’an architectural style in the architectural appearance, but also introduces old craftsmen and intangible cultural heritage inheritors to cross-border integration of traditional intangible cultural heritage, folk customs and fashionable cultural creations. Tourists can not only “travel through time and space” in the scenic area, but also produce customized souvenirs and experience textiles with their own hands.
In 2016, Wenyuan Lion City was launched as the first domestic intangible cultural heritage experience base. In 2017, the China Comprehensive Research Center for Silk, Cotton and Linen settled in Wenyuan Lion City, and its local cultural IP continues to be enriched.
“If the cultural tourism industry wants to flourish, it must be rooted in local culture. When we went to Qiandao Lake to work on the Wenyuan Lion City project, we did in-depth research and learned that the two thousand-year-old cities here buried deep under the reservoir were once The culture is prosperous and various crafts are prosperous. There are many excellent characteristic cultures and handicrafts, such as linen embroidery, embroidered shoes, Lishangren lanterns, etc. However, like the current situation of intangible cultural heritage across the country, it is on the verge of being lost, which is a pity.” At the meeting, Lin Jin, vice president of Hangzhou Xintiandi Group, said that Xintiandi explores the revitalization of local culture and the development of intangible cultural heritage through the combination of culture and tourism. It hopes to interpret local culture and traditions in an activated way through the compound industry operation of culture, business and tourism. Skills allow intangible cultural heritage to be integrated into life, and it also allows the industry to “generate itself”, regain its vitality, and find a new model of sustainable development.
At the press conference on the 29th, two series of activities, the collection of logo patterns for the China Textile Intangible Cultural Heritage Conference and the “Wenyuan Lion City Cup” 2017 China Textile Intangible Cultural Heritage Promotion Ambassador Selection, were also officially launched.
