The reporter learned that recently, the Internet fashion brand Huimei Group officially applied RFID (radio frequency identification) technology to the products of one of its main brands “Yinman”.

It is reported that Inman will implant an RFID chip smaller than a grain of rice into each new product and invisible to the naked eye. Each piece of clothing will have a unique identification code. In the future, the number of times a user picks up a piece of clothing in the Inman+ offline experience store and the number of times he enters and exits the fitting room can be tracked.

Specifically, when a user picks up clothes and enters the fitting area, the RFID device reads the chip information on the clothes. On the display screen, detailed information such as clothes-related pictures, online product descriptions, and buyer comments can be displayed. Self-service payment is also possible.

In terms of warehouse management, the RFID system can quickly identify whether the boxes are packed correctly. In the future, it is expected to realize dynamic inventory sharing across all channels and stores across the country, as well as functions such as anti-counterfeiting, anti-crossing, and priority processing of returns of hot-selling items.

Fang Jianhua, chairman and CEO of Huimei Group, said that the RFID system will be gradually improved in stages. In addition to providing customers with a better experience in terminal stores, RFID technology can also effectively improve the accuracy and efficiency of warehouse management.

Xiamen Xinda, a cooperative developer of the RFID system of Huimei Group, said that it will work with Yinman to promote the research and development of RFID technology and create a new benchmark case for the “Internet of Things”.

Previously, according to the British “Daily Mail” report, Apple obtained a new patent that allows users to use iPhone or Apple Watch to read the nutritional information of food through RFID tags, and even receive tips on how to pair the food with health.

At present, Heilan House, Decathlon, La Chapelle, international brand H&M, luxury brand Prada, etc. have all used RFID technology, but they are still being explored.

According to Huimei, compared with before, the application of RFID technology has reduced the labor cost of supply chain warehousing review by 73% and increased the efficiency to 250%. In the warehouse outbound review process, labor costs dropped by 82% and efficiency increased to 175%. The application of RFID technology will upgrade and transform the production, circulation and sales process of goods. This is also a key step in the integration of online and offline omni-channels of the Inman brand.
