Diacetate fiber is produced by spinning diacetate cellulose obtained by partial saponification of triacetate fiber as raw material. Diacetate fiber has good hygroscopicity and excellent wearing properties. Its filaments have an elegant luster, soft hand, and good drape. They resemble real silk. They are suitable for making underwear, shawls, skirts, and interior decoration fabrics.

Triacetate fiber is produced by spinning triacetate fiber obtained by complete acetylation of cellulose. Triacetate fiber is similar in performance to diacetate fiber, but has lower strength and higher melting point.
